Camp Settings: Feature Overview
Email Notifications:
Control which automated emails are sent to you! Each notification type can be independently toggled on or off.
- Booking & sale emails: Receive a copy whenever a new booking or sale is made.
- Reservation edits: Get notified when a customer modifies an existing reservation.
- Cancellations: Receive alerts when a booking is cancelled.
Fee Management:
Choose how platform and processing fees are handled for your customers.
- Absorb the booking fee: Toggle on to cover the booking fee yourself, so customers see a lower total at checkout.
- Pass the processing fee: Toggle on to have customers pay the processing fee. You can give this fee a custom display name that appears during checkout.
Vehicle Data Collection:
Campgrounds that track incoming vehicles can configure exactly what information is gathered at the time of booking. Customers cannot complete their reservation without filling in any required fields.
- Standard vehicles: Toggle on and select which fields to collect, such as vehicle make and license plate number.
- RVs: Collect license plate data for the guest’s RV
Booking & Stay Rules:
Define the parameters around how guests can book stays at your campground.
- Minimum nights: Set the fewest nights a customer can book in a single reservation (e.g., 1, 3, or 7 nights).
- Maximum nights: Cap the longest stay allowed per booking.
- Maximum sites per booking: Optionally limit how many sites can be reserved in a single transaction. Leave blank for no restriction.
Deposit Settings:
Offer customers the option to pay a deposit rather than the full amount upfront, based on the value of their booking.
- Deposit type: Set deposits as a percentage of the total cost or as a fixed flat rate.
- Deposit threshold: Define a minimum accommodation cost that triggers the deposit option. When a booking meets or exceeds this amount, customers can choose between paying the deposit or paying in full.
- Hide full payment option: Toggle on to remove the “pay in full” choice, making the deposit the only payment path.
- Leave all deposit fields blank to collect full payment at time of booking
Booking Windows & Arrival Times:
Manage when customers can make reservations and set your official check-in and check-out times.
- Minimum booking notice: The minimum number of days in advance a site can be booked. A help icon is available on this field for more detail.
- Maximum advance booking: How far into the future customers are permitted to make a reservation.
- Check-in/check-out times: Set your standard arrival and departure times, which are displayed to guests throughout the booking process.
Customizable Guest Emails:
Personalize the automated emails your guests receive before and after their stay. These are a valuable touchpoints for building rapport and encouraging engagement.
- Booking confirmation email: Add a custom message to the confirmation email — a welcome note, nearby attractions or any other useful information about your campground.
- Pre-arrival reminder email: A friendly reminder to customers is sent out 7 days before their check-in date. Use this to share anything they need to know before arriving, such as directions, what to bring, or check-in instructions.
- Post-stay email: Customize the message sent after a guest’s stay (sent out on day of checkout). Many campgrounds use this to say thank you and include a link to a review page for guest feedback.
Rules, Terms & Conditions:
Enter your campground’s rules and any terms and conditions you’d like guests to be aware of. This content is displayed publicly on your campground’s profile page as well as on the checkout page for guests to confirm they’ve read and agreed to these rules before checking out.
Remember to click “Save” after making any changes to your Camp Settings.
