How to clear your Cache

What Does “Clear Cache” Mean?

Your computer saves temporary website files to help pages load faster. Sometimes these saved files can cause websites to load incorrectly, appear outdated, or freeze. Clearing the cache refreshes the website files fixing the issues you’re having on Let’s Camp

On Chrome:

Step 1: Open Google Chrome

Find the Google Chrome icon on your computer and open the browser.

Step 2: Find the three dots

Look at the top-right corner of Chrome. You will see three small dots stacked vertically. Click them. After clicking, you’ll scroll all the way down. There you’ll find a ‘Delete Browsing Data’ button. Click on it.

Step 3: Open ‘Delete Browsing Data’

After selecting ‘Delete Browsing Data’ you’ll land on a different page. You should see a pop up like the one shown below.

Step 4: Complete the Check Marks

Once on the pop up, make sure only ‘Cookies and other site data and ‘Cache images and files’ are selected. It should look like this:

Step 5: Activate ‘All Time’

After making sure that ‘Cookies and other site data and ‘Cache images and files’ are checked, hover your mouse to ‘More’ located on the top right of the pop up screen. Click on it. You’ll see a small drop down menu. Please click on ‘All TIme’

Step 6: Click ‘Delete from this Device’

Now that you selected the needed requirements, click on the ‘Delete from this Device” button. It’s located at the bottom of the pop up menu. After doing so, Chrome will delete your cache. This may take a few seconds to finish.

Finished!

*Please note: After completing these steps, make sure you close Chrome completely. After doing so, reopen it and navigate back to Let’s Camp. Make sure you try again to see if the issue you were experiencing still exists.

On Mobile Chrome:

Step 1: Open Chrome

Find the Chrome icon on your phone.

Step 2: Find the three dots

Located on the top-right corner of Chrome, you’ll find three small dots stacked vertically. Click them.

Step 3: Delete Browsing Data

After clicking, a drop down menu will appear.  There you’ll find a ‘Delete Browsing Data’ button. Click on it.

Step 3: Clearing your Data

After clicking, you’ll get another pop up. Right under ‘Delete Browsing Data’ you’ll find a ‘timeframe’. It’s usually set to 15 minutes. Please click on it and select ‘All Time’

Step 4: Delete Data

After clicking ‘All Time,’ located at the bottom, you’ll see a button labeled ‘Delete Data’ Click on it.

*Please note: After completing these steps, make sure you close chrome completely. After doing so, reopen it and navigate back to Let’s Camp. Make sure you try again to see if the issue you were experiencing still exists.

On Safari:

Step 1: Open Safari Browser

Find the Safari icon on your computer and open the browser.

Step 2: Find Safari Settings

Located on the top left corner of your screen, you’ll find the ‘Safari’ icon. Click on it. 

Step 3: Open “Settings”

After selecting ‘Safari’ you should see a drop down menu. You’ll need to click on ‘Settings’. 

Step 4: Open ‘Privacy’

After clicking on ‘Settings’ you’ll see a pop up menu come up. On it, you’ll need to locate ‘Privacy’. It’s located at the top and uses a hand as its icon. Click on it. 

Step 5: “Managing Website Data”

Once you click on the ‘Privacy’ icon, you’ll find a button called ‘Website Date: Manage Website Data’. Please select it.

Step 6: “Removing All” Data

After completing the last step, you’ll be redirected to another page. You’ll see a list of websites that have been stored onto your device. You’ll want to click ‘Remove All’. *Please note: None of your personal data will be deleted. 

Step 7: Finish Deleting

After clicking on ‘Remove All’ your device will remove all the data that has been collected. This shouldn’t take more than a few seconds. Please make sure you mark it as ‘Done’.You’ll find this button on the bottom right of the pop up window.

*Please note: After completing these steps, make sure you close Safari completely. After doing so, reopen it and navigate back to Let’s Camp. Make sure you try again to see if the issue you were experiencing still exists.

On iPhone Safari:

Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone

Go into settings on your iPhone. Once there, scroll all the way down to a category named ‘Apps.’ Click on it. 

Step 2: Safari App

After clicking on app’s, you’ll be able to see all the app’s you currently have on your phone. They will be alphabetized. Go to the ‘S’s and find Safari. Click on it. 

Step 3: Safari Settings

After selecting ‘Safari’ about half way down, you’ll find a heading called ‘History and Website Data’. 

Step 4: History and Website Data

After clicking on ‘History and Website Data,’ You’ll see a pop up come up. There, make sure you select the following: 

*All History -> Close All tabs -> Clear history. 

Step 7: Finished

After clicking on ‘Clear History,’ your phone will automatically clear your cache.

On Firefox:

Step 1: Open Firefox

Find the Firefox icon on your computer and open the browser.

Step 2: Find the Three Lines

Look at the top-right corner of Firefox. You will see three small lines stacked horizontally. Click them.

Step 3: Open “Settings”

After selecting the three lines,a drop down menu will appear. Go all the way dow to ‘Settings’. Click on it. 

Step 4: ‘Settings’

After clicking on ‘Settings’ you’ll be redirected to your settings page. On the Left hand side of that page, you’ll see the words ‘Privacy & Security’. Please click on it.

Step 5: ‘Privacy & Security’

Once you click on the ‘Privacy & Settings’ button, you need to scroll to about the middle of the sections, until you get to ‘Cookies & Site Data’

Step 6:Browsing Data’

Right under the ‘Cookies and Site Data’ you’ll find the words ‘Clear browsing data’ Please click on it.  

Step 7: ‘Clear Browsing Data’

After clicking on ‘Clear Browsing Data’, you’ll see another pop up screen come up. You’ll notice how on the stop section where it says ‘WHEN’ you’ll have the ability to change the timeframe. You’ll need to make sure you click on ‘everything’

Step 8: Selecting Boxes

Once you click on ‘Everything’ you’ll need to make sure the boxes displayed on the image below are checked off. Don’t forget to click on ‘Clear’ to save your changes.
